Dear Family and Friends עמו"ש,

       It is our זכות to tell you about the Shul that we are part of in Far Rockaway. The Sulitza Beis Medrash, Kehilas Yaakov, is under the leadership of the Rebba, Ha’Rav Yaakov Rubin Shlit”a. The Beis Medrash is unique in this area as it carries a מסורה of authentic חסידות. All those who enter feel the power and warmth of this beautiful מקום of תורה, עבודה וגמילות חסדים.
   

      Our family has gained a tremendous amount from all aspects of the Beis Medrash: Minyanim during the week, doors open 24/7 for learning, personal care from the Rebba and Rebbetzin when the need arises, זמירות in the Rebba’s house, אבות ובנים on מוצאי שבת and very uplifting ימים טובים. 

       There was a time that I was walking our girls home from school during a big snowstorm and needed to stop somewhere to calm the girls down and warm up before continuing. We stopped in the Sulitz Beis Medrash which was in a trailer at that time because the building was under renovations. As we were trying to figure out the best way to make it home, the Rebba somehow realized that we were there and came to calm down the kids and give them candies. A true example of the warmth and chesed that we always experience.

       Everyone in the community knows that Sulitz is a place that they are welcome. Anyone who enters gets a warm שלום עליכם and a comfortable seat. Of course, hot drinks are available downstairs and a delicious kiddush after davening.

       At this time, we want to show our הכרת הטוב for all that we have benefited over the years. If you are able to submit an add for the journal, we would appreciate it a lot and the Beis Medrash can continue to serve the community with its עבודת הקודש בקדושה וטהרה. Any contribution would be very meaningful to us. In addition, it would be wonderful to see you at the Melava Malka לטובת הבית מדרש.
